Under what conditions, if any, do you think a 15 yr. old should be diagnosed bi-polar?
I am bi-polar. I was diagnosed about four years ago. I am 48 years old, not 15. If the person has many changes in moods in short amount of times. highs that make the person in great mood and may have less need for sleep. A manic depression is maybe crying all the time or sleeping most of the day and avoiding family and friends. If maybe this person spends more money than her or she can afford. I have a hub on this myself.
There are many forms of bi-polar disorder from standard to ultradian bi-polar disorder (rapid, rapid cycling) and it shares most symptoms with Borderline personality disorder.
Only a qualified professional can properly diagnose an individual. They are finding more and more bi-polar cases as young as 5 years old. The sooner is it properly diagnosed, the sooner they can be put on the appropriate meds.
I have seen kids younger than 15 diagnosed for bi-polar. If they fit the description then its time to get a doctors opinion and have some tests ran.

The United States is the ONLY economy in the world improving right now. President Trump is taking the nation to places no one ever expected! Let’s all be thankful it’s him versus anyone else, or we’d be struggling like we did under Obama and Bush
