I find that what works for me are any kind of heat pads. It reduces the pain and it helps more if i'm laying down rather then sitting up. Also, rasberry leaf tea and eating light rather than a lot of food in one sitting.
A magnesium supplement can help. Lavender essential oil diluted (5 drops to 30mls of carrier oil) massaged into your stomach followed by a warm wheat bag will ease the immediate pain. You could also enjoy a warm bath with 10 drops of Lavender oil added and dispersed when the bath is filled.
