How long is shock estimated to last in small dogs
My daughter's 11 month old shitzu-jack russell terrier mix (Squeaker) got hit by a car last night. Her front two paws are badly damaged. Can anyone please tell me how long shock can be estimated to last in a dog this small? She just shakes and shakes. And I'm not sure if its because she is scared, cold, or in shock. I am so worried about the dog and the vet just isn't as informative as I would hope. I am willing to go to great lengths for this dog. My child not only witnessed the hit and run but feels responsible because she had whistled for the pup to come and then Squeaker got hit. Plz help
Oh no! I hope Squeaker is okay. I know I am late to answer this question, but I hope this helps. I found this hub which explains what happens and what you can do to help: http://dorsi.hubpages.com/hub/My-Dog-Got-Hit-By-A-Car. Good luck and I wish you well.
