How do you feel about your Reiki experience?

How many of you have Reiki experience, in terms of Reiki practitioner as well as having Reiki treatment? How would you like to comment on Reiki?

My sister and I are both level 2 Reiki practitioners. Our attunements for both levels were a wonderful and unforgettable experience. My sister has always been a natural healer, and Reiki has allowed her to heal others without taking on their pain.

More often than not, we have given Reiki treatments together as a team. Those times felt more powerful to me, in terms of the heat pouring from our hands and the intensity of the hot places where someone needed it most. This may seem incredible to most, but we usually close our eyes during a dual healing and we "see" things pertaining to the individual's "dis-ease". We also simultaneously move to the next Chakra area without seeing that the other is doing so.

Although we have not practiced rigorously, I know for certain that we have helped a few of our clients by decreasing their pain while increasing their comfort level with their illnesses. It is a power that I can't really explain, and it happens regardless if someone believes in Reiki.

As for having Reiki treatments, I have always been impressed by how hot the practitioner's hands become. I really enjoy how easily the process can relax my fibromyalgia pain, if only for a short time.

It's been awhile since I wrote a hub on this topic, and I thank you for giving me the opportunity to think about Reiki on this day.

    Hi Theresa,
Sorry for acknowledge it a little late. Good to hear about you and your sister. I urge both of you to keep practicing Reiki. It's a wonderful gift from the nature. Like to hear more and if you publish a hub on Reiki that will be a great contribution.
