What Exactly Is Cerebral Palsy?
How common is cerebral palsy? Is it hereditary? What causes cerebral palsy?
It's a movement disorder that is caused by brain damage due to trauma, bacterial or viral infection, maternal prenatal infection, congenital anomalies, etc. I do not believe there is a consensus about whether there is a genetic predisposition or not - there may be, but I'd have to do some research to know for sure.
