If your body has an intolerance to wheat, you would have to know the reason or source for the intolerance before any one could answer this question properly. As a clinical herbalist, I see patients all the time for many issues. You have to find the root issue first.
I would think that the best thing to do is avoid it as much as possible. My husband has wheat sensitivity and we use substitutes like gluten free pasta - there's a lot available now.
