What would you consider to be a proper diet for a healthy pregnancy?
of course. i think all mothers are called to such selfless vows. you think more of what the effect of your habits are going to be not just to you but to the baby you carry.
You should eat fresh fruits and vegetables and proteins. Just like other people should be eating. Research shows that a baby whose mother eats healthy foods will like those foods when they start eating solids. A baby whose mother ate junk food while pregnant will want fatty and sugary foods when eating solids. The best way to set your child up for a healthy lifestyle is to start during or before your pregnancy.
A healthy diet is not only what you eat, but, what and how much excercise you do and sleep is part of that also..Start each day with a high protein breakfast, a snack of fruit mid morning..lunch is important..light snack in the afternoon ( sometimes a smoothie is sufficient) then a light dinner..actually 6 small meals a day are better than 3 main meals...fruit/veg are very important, as are pre-natal vitamin supplements. Water and liquids are a vital part of keeping the bowels regular, as constipation can be a problem during pregnancy, so taking in fiber should be a priority...excercise is very important, to help circulation/muscle tone and ease fatique...and don't forget to try meditation to eliviate stress...following this advice can help prevent gestational diabetes also...
