What kind of things can you do while you are injured?
I ruptured my Achilles tendon a few weeks ago and I'm trying to find more things to do. I've taken up writing, sit-ups, and reading. Any other good suggestions?
Wen I broke my leg some years ago I took up or re introduced myself to painting, sketching and abstract doodling with craft paper.
I'd go into my artists studio (living room) set up my easel (dining table) and start my masterpiece. In the backround would be classical music (Led Zeppelin/Rolling Stones/Radiohead) soothing or manic and this seemed to do the trick for some hours during the day.
You could also take up yoga! Not full blown yoga but stretching exercises that will help those muscles you're not using.
Card games, cross words, jigsaws, origami and other craft work if you're so inclined.
I also read novels and poetry and wrote.
You could read something different - I found I wanted to read something I'd never read before- so I read some plays! Inspiring.
I was 3 solid months on crutches and survived, somehow!
