To those in your late 50s and early 60s, can you believe that time has gone
so quickly?
It's true.
When I was 7 years old I had an intense moment of self-awareness, and realized very clearly that I had lived seven years , which (since, as far as I knew, people lived to be about 70) it might be about 1/7 of my life.
It was not bothersome, since 70 seemed like a long time away. Now it is very close.
It still amazes me that my childhood lasted a long time-- and my kids grew up so quickly.
Just yesterday, I was listening to The Supremes and The Little Rascals as a teenager and now I am near 60 and see all the lovely young people coming up after me! We Boomers are no longer the center of the universe. Time marches on
I do think as we age we perceive differently. When I was a child Christmas vacation seemed to last forever. Now at 60, time flies by and yes, it seem my children's time at home just raced on by. Hard to believe.
Yup!! The only time that is relevant is "the now". We spend our youth looking ahead, doing the right thing; etc. Or, we spend it looking in the "rear view-mirror". When all along, it's what we're doing "right now". That counts, IMO. .... poooff, it's gone. Never going to get it back. Funny how every particle in the universe has an opposite, except time. One-way street, baby!! .... Cheers Jamie

Are you an early bird or a night owl?I've always been an early bird. There's just something I've always enjoyed about waking up before daylight and witnessing a sunrise. How about you? Why are you a night owl or early bird?
