What do you carry in your purse/pocket/bag to avoid food temptations?

I'd usually take my cell phone/smartphone with my before picture as my background. The picture of me was me at my thinnest, on my 2008 Disney cruise. I was wearing a green dress and I looked confident in it, with Mickey Mouse (in a tux) at my side. Nowadays, I weigh 30 pounds (about) more than that. I hope this picture of me and Mickey would remind me that I can get back at that weight (or even lower) and make better food choices.

    What's yours?

I don't carry a purse or bag around, but I try to keep nuts (usually almonds or pistachios) close by to curb my hunger between meals.

My belt reminds me. Since losing my weight it's as tight as it will go; if it gives a notch, I'm back to a strict diet. In the meantime, I continue to watch what I eat and exercise.

Since having children, I always have healthy snacks with me- like almonds, dried fruit, fresh fruit, protein bars, etc. In the past, when I was starving and had to stop to get something, it can be hard to find something healthy and available wherever I was. Now, I don't have to worry about that.

I carry a small book called "The Voices of Recovery".  It is a daily reader  of encouraging messages to help in making better food choices... and in lbetter choices in general.  I usually read from it every morning, but I cary it in my purse for comfort measures. The answer is not in my purse however...it is in my head.  I am learning how to think about food differently so I will not eat junk foods, or eat large portion sizes, or second helpings, or eat too many snacks, or eat the wrong snacks.  In short, I am learning how to make better food choices and stick to it.

Sounds like a great idea! You may want to carry a pocket-size version of your before pic as a bookmark (and a great motivator).

I carry a water bottle and some of those crystal lite flavoring packets. At 10 calories each you can't go wrong (especially in a town with terrible water). Because more often than not if I feel like snacking it's because I'm thirsty or I just want something to do with my hands. Drinking flavored water is a great way to go.

A squeeze of lemon in water works as well (and it's better for me because it has no aspartame, unlike Crystal Light, except the "pure" ones). But anyway, that's great!
