   How healthy and hygienic is your mattress?
   
   We bathe! We wash our clothes, bedsheets, blankets! The mattress we sleep in is never cleaned and so is full of dust, dust mites, our dead skin cells and feces of mites besides mites carcasses. How do you clean your mattress to keep it healthy and hygienic?

   Unfortunately, there is no way of doing this. Professionally maybe. But, this would have to be done once per week for the reasons you have mentioned. There is also a bed bug epidemic in the United States right now (In which I wrote a hub about) that are in 5 star hotels as well as homes. You do not need to be unclean, for they will travel from the nicest place to your homes on your clothing.

   My mattress is not healthy, it is not hygienic, and it is nasty. But I can't buy a new one at this point. So I'll try to get a new one in about a year or so.
