    For one, it has a lot of probiotics, which help with digestive functions and immunity. Not only that, but yogurt is filled with nutrients, such as calcium, protein and vitamin D. It's also very low on calories, which makes it an ideal weight-loss food.

    Another method of using yogurt is using it as a face mask. Spread it on your face, and the vitamins will be absorbed through your skin, and leave you with a clear and firm face.

    In a study of women, eating probiotic yogurt was shown to lower LDL (bad) cholesterol while raising HDL (good) cholesterol levels (Estruch R., et al).

    Yogurt is easier to digest, especially for people who are lactose intolerant or allergic to casein (milk protein).  Part of the lactose, that's naturally present in milk, is converted to lactic acid.  Also, during the fermentation process, some of the casein is hydrolyzed, breaking it down and making it easier to digest.
