I believe I have what's known as sleep paralysis. I fall asleep and either can't breath,
Have a stranger in my room or blankets tangled around my head. I scream but nothing comes out. I wake up in the same position I fell asleep but I'm unable to move. This just began happening to me last week and seems to happen nightly. It is 4:00 am and I'm afraid to fall back asleep. Do you know if this can be treated by either a doctor, psychologist or psychiatrist? Going on vacation alone next week and I'm scared to death this will happen in an unfamiliar hotel.
I have it too and wrote about my own experience on here under Old Hag Syndrome aka Sleep Paralysis but there are better articles on here, that you may find more helpful.
