"Leg gap" craze - how do we safeguard against these obsessive compulsions?
The young girls' craze of wanting a "leg gap" concerns me. We have been fighting against obesity but now this craziness is happening. How do we fight against this and seek to actively promote health?
I still remember Karen Carpenter and wish she were still with us so anytime we can help young women achieve a realistic view of health and beauty is important to me.
I think thigh gap, as it is called, is crazy. I am a female but I am starting not to feel sorry for girls/females anymore. They love to blame the media/fashion companies for promoting unrealistic expectations for their bodies, when they obsess about something as stupid as a thigh gap. When are girls/female going to take responsibility for their actions and stop blaming the media/fashion companies/ and other females for their insecurities.
