    What is the best company to get dental insurance in the United states?

    I need to get dental insurance because my gum needs to be treated and I also need two crowns. Can you recommend the best company to get dental insurance from?

    I have Delta Dental. The thing you need to know those are major dental repairs, and most policies do not let you just buy a policy and jump right in to that type of repair for. They usually don't do that stiff the first year, they do not pay but 50 percent of that stuff. Cleanings and preventative is where they they pay all or the most. My policy is through my employer and ay even pay better than some. Also, they have a limit of how much they pay a year. Mine is 1,000 which is not very much when it comes to that kind of work. My last crown was 750.00 without a root canal. That is very cheap as prices are so much more reasonable in the midwest. I am lucky though because my husband has the same policy and I have his and mine. Mine pays 50 percent and so does his.

      Thank you Penny for responding.  I was actually thinking about applying for Delta Dental because my folks have them.  Thank you for letting me know this information.  This was very helpful. Crowns in Virginia are $900-1100, $750 is quite reasonable.
