Are you an introvert or is it depression when you don't want to be around people?
Not all introverts are suffering from depression. Not all who are in depression (and avoiding people) are introverts.
Putting it very simply, introverts need to be away from people in order to 'recharge' whereas extroverts thrive in group settings.
Personally, I'm happiest when I'm home alone or with just my fiance.
With depression, there are many other symptoms that usually go along with it. There are a plethora of online resources that can help identify if a person may be suffering from depression, but it may be best to go to a doctor and talk with them.
