Is the availability of your Medical Records online a good thing?
There are a lot of medical practices making it possible for patients to view their medical history, look at their lab results and even make appointments online. Although this is extremely convenience for both the patients and doctors; are there any privacy risks involved?
I get treated through a healthcare system that does this, and it's very convenient. I can manage appointments, request prescription refills, get lab results, and ask questions online. My doctors can all see what the others have prescribed, or what tests they've ordered. I'm not really concerned about privacy, because there's nothing there that would be of interest to anyone else, or of value to hackers.
