Is there a limit to how much happiness you can achieve?
Everybody has emotions and certainly can control (to some extent) how much happiness they could feel consciously. Either from drugs or possibly having an amount of self-awareness but does it end at a point?
Let's forget about drugs and other chemicals for the purpose of this answer.
Happiness can't be measured exactly, or defined objectively because it differs so much from person to person. One man's meat is another man's poison so to speak. We can only hope for fleeting moments and hours of what each of us perceives as happiness.
I guess you can try and put happiness into perspective by thinking about sadness! If you're not sad, depressed, in grief, or ill then you must by logic be happy?
I recently read up an article that gives me the difference between happiness and pleasure. Pleasure might be what you're referring to, whereas happiness remains and never differs or goes away. Pleasure is what's addictive and can change, depending.
