To the best of my knowledge, Alziemer's is degenerative and incurable. A family member suffered from it for some years, and we were unable to help her.
If Reiki were able to do anything to ameliorate the problem, it would be extremely well publicized, as there are thousands, if not millions, of people caring for family members suffering from Alzeimer's.
Why not? I always recommend Reiki to anyone. But remember not to get attached to results, The healing outcome could be different from healing the Alzeimers patient. For example, the healing might be to have the caret aker be more patient and accepting or maybe to have them be more lucid for a day, thus helping family members.

Let's network a little bit, are there any reiki practitioners here on forums? How long do you practice Reiki? What degree are you? And did Reiki changed your life somehow?
