I believe one of the hardest things about birth control is figuring out which birth control is right for you. Every woman is different, some perfer the shot while others perfer the pill. It is hard to know exactly which suits you best, especially for first time birth control users, because there is no way to know, it boils down to trial and error, which then leads to the side effects of each different form of contraceptive you decide to use, which can be a very tiring and frustrating process.

I would suspect it's establishing the new habit of taking it daily even when you're not in a relationship nor have any plans to have sex.
With regard to men it's carrying around condoms in their wallet or glove compartment without feeling presumptuous.
For some people only "bad girls" and "bad boys" are actually {prepared} to have sex! From many folks point of view if a person has birth control it means they're going to have sex.
It's the "good girls" and "good guys" who are caught off guard when raging hormones kick up. They thought if they weren't taking the pill or carrying around condoms that would "stop them" from having sex.
