Why is soda bad for you?
I drink soda every day. I work out enough to burn the calories I get from the soda. What other reasons are there that I should not drink soda?
Soda, coke, pop, soft drinks are bad for us because they contain either more sugar than we should have daily, caffeine that causes myriad health problems, or artificial sweeteners that are hard for our bodies to process. The caffeine can also bring on dehydration.
1. tends to be a high calorie replacement for water, so your calorie intake goes up - drinking soda doesn't engage the appetite shut off the way eating a similar number of calories does
2. the acid in it ruins your teeth
3. it dehydrates you, and most of us don't get enough water as is, leading to kidney stones, gall bladder stones
Sugar. Caffeine. Phosphoric acid. Phosphoric acid eats teeth enamel and may lead to Osteoporosis.
