Is it necessary to use food supplements?
There is a lot of good food to go round. Why would I use supplements with so much food to eat?
If you eat a healthy diet, you don't need supplements unless you have a health problem. For example, a pregnant woman may need iron and calcium supplements because it is hard to get enough of those nutrients because all the foods rich in those nutrients make her ill.

If all the food supplements and junk food on earth mysteriously vanished tomorrow and all that was left to eat was really healthy food, by only eating these foods in the most nutritious combinations could we get enough nutrition to stay healthy for the rest of our lives?
