(With pictures) What is this large white thing at the back of my throat?
So my throat has been hurting and stinking the past few days. It feels like there is a piece of food stuck and I have been coughing so much. I sometimes is feels like I'm starting to loose my voice. I haven't showed my mother the pictures but even if I did, knowing my mother she still wouldn't take me to the doctors to find out because she isn't even letting me stay home. I have no other way to find out what I have so what do you think it is? P.s this morning it was much more inflamed.
looks to me like calcium build up. You can google about it and see if thats what it is
White tube in the back of throat is the epiglottis. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Epiglottis.png Epiglottitis is inflammation of the epiglottis. This is the tissue that covers the trachea (windpipe). Epiglottitis is a life-threatening disease.
