If your animal has had a problem for more than a week, it's time to see a vet, especially if the animal is in pain.
As to whether amoxicillin is ok for a dog, I'm not qualified to answer that - only a vet is..

Don't give your dog antibiotics for an ear infection unless you've had a culture done, and are sure it's a bacterial infection.

It's possible it's a yeast infection, which won't respond to antibiotics, or vinegar, or peroxide.

Go see a vet, and find out what's growing in your dog's ear, before you try to treat it. You could be doing more harm than good with home remedies and guessing.
