In your personal experience, what is a good mattress to buy?

In your personal experience, what is a good mattress to buy?

My mattress is TOO hard; It just doesn't give enough. If I try to lie on my back, I immediately get a backache. Sometimes I wake up with minor back pain in the morning. I think it's strictly the mattress, because I do stretching exercises regularly. Anyway, I'm tired of tossing and turning on the darn thing every night, but I have no idea what to buy that (preferably) won't cost a small fortune. I would appreciate any consumer ideas. Thanks!

I like the "I comfort" by I'm not sure. But it has a massage that usually puts me to sleep. And you can raise your head/legs.

Andrew....Thank you a million times over. I didn't know if I'd get a response, so I am grateful to you. There is so much info on the Internet, I just didn't know where to begin searching. I will look into "I Comfort." Sounds interesting!

      Yves,
Just started this. What do the numbers next to our photos mean?

It is a "nebulous" hubscore. It goes from 1 to 100. Most of us are learning to ignore it because it is impossible to know why some people have high scores, while others do not.

I love our postripedic pillowtop. And searsopedic. We love both. Not the firmest one though.

I don't want firm. Firm is killing me right now. Ha! How dramatic I sound. I will look into a pillow top as well. Could be that a good top layer might make the needed improvement...
      Thanks, Terrie Lynn.

Lol. Be aware. My husband and I scared each other till we got used too it. You don't even know when the other person gets up.  My brother likes the memory foam top.
