Can anyone tell me what they are and what they feel like when you get them?  I feel as though my feet are starting to wear down, especially my heels.  They feel as though they have sharp objects poking into my heels now.  Not sure what to think!

    Hi Philzgrill
Calcaneal bone spurs. This is the calcification of the soft tissue, normally tendons and muscles. they appear under the heel or on th eback of the heel where the achilles is. It may be because of continued strain on the tendons/muscles such as plantar fascitis or ankylosing spondylitis or even from arthritis.
Either way the pain is worst at first and should reduce the more you walk.
Xray it too see. Then options are to remove surgically.
Better still check you have good shoes, you can put a heel cup in to lift your feet and reduce stress and achilles bone spurs. Or tape the ankle so it's facing slightly inwards helps for under the heel spurs.
