Ran Out of Gift Ideas?

Mother's Day is right around the corner, and if you are anything like me, you've gone into panic mood over finding the right gift. My mother does not live close to me, so whatever I send her needs to be mailed. Let's face it, due to poor planning, I don't have the time to create the most personalized gift basket. I suspect if you are reading this, you are also in a semi-desperate situation. My solution to our problem - gift baskets from Amazon!

Amazon has a wide assortment of gift baskets that are perfect for Mother's Day. Many are priced under $20 which is great. This means you can even spend a little extra on flowers or sending a movie she might like. It also helps relieve some stress if you have the basket shipped directly to her. Who has time for the post office? If you are going to visit your mother, you can mail the basket to her, yet take her a nice cake or balloons for Mother's Day. The possibilities are unlimited. What is most important is that you show your mom that you care. Check out some of the great gift basket options for Mother's Day!

Food Gift Baskets Under $20

Right now, Amazon has a number of food gift baskets for under $20. You can get baskets with tea, which are really pretty and feminine. You could also get gift baskets with coffee for the mother that needs her caffeine fix. There are even some gift baskets with a combination of the two.

Furthermore, there are plenty of gift baskets with fun treats. If your mother loves chocolate, I would recommend giving her one of the many boxes or baskets with chocolate candy in them. If you search on Amazon using the keywords, "food gift basket under $20," a lot of old holiday baskets will pop up. Some Amazon retailers are still selling Christmas baskets and Easter baskets for dirt cheap, like around $10. Don't be that gift giver! Your mother does not want to see Easter candy and an Easter rabbit show up for Mother's Day. Stick to the standard baskets or Mother's Day baskets.

Don't forget, you will need to take your mother's health into consideration when choosing a gift basket with food. This is also the case if you are shopping for a grandmother. Some people simply can't eat chocolate or anything with sugar in it anymore. Also, if you are shopping for someone that is watching her cholesterol or her weight, perhaps a fruit basket is the best way to go.

Bath or Spa Sets Under $20

Sometimes your mom just wants to be pampered. Perhaps you can't afford to send her to a spa for the weekend or maybe she just doesn't have the ability to go to the spa at all. In this case, you can give her a nice gift basket with spa items. You can get a nice set with lotion, shower gel or soap, and perhaps a candle on the side. If your mother just needs to relax more, this could be a really nice gift idea for her.

You would think a gift set with spa items would be expensive, but this is not really the case. You can choose from a cute assortment of spa gift sets or baskets for only $20 or under. There is pretty much something for any mother or grandmother available on Amazon.

Even More Amazing Mother's Day Gift Baskets

For Mother's Day, perhaps you intend on spending more than $20 on a gift basket. Maybe you aren't going to get her anything except a gift basket and feel the need to get her something really nice. Perhaps you, like me, feels guilty that you waited the last minute to go online and find a nice Mother's Day gift, so therefore you want to go all out and spend a lot of money. No matter the reason, if you are willing to spend a decent amount of money on a gift basket for Mother's Day you will have plenty of options. There are some really amazing gift baskets available online.

Art of Appreciation has some of the most incredible gift baskets on Amazon. Each basket has a theme, such a relaxing lavender spa theme or a gourmet food and snacks theme. Depending on your mother and her personal taste, you can find something absolutely beautiful to send her this Mother's Day.

The best part about ordering any of these gift baskets online is you can send the gift directly to your mom or grandma. Condering how hectic life can be right now, isn't it great to know you can order from Amazon and you don't even have to set foot into a post office? You can just choose the gift recipient option and leave the shipping to someone else. And that, in my opinion, is the best part about choosing a gift basket for Mother's Day!

Hi Bill! Thanks for checking out my hub. I usually like to personalize gift baskets, too, but unfortunately I've ran out of time. I need to ship whatever I get and I don't even have time for the post office. Did you know you can even have Amazon mail potted plants? I am trying to decide gift basket or plant now. :-)

Great suggestions! I like to custom make my own basket and put nice little personal items in, or items that only have meaning to Bev and I. I have one more week so no rush, but thanks for the reminder and the great hub!

I guess I'm awesome, or more honestly a little anal, as your poll answer said because I already bought my mom her gift. I do think your ideas are great and I might use the basket idea under $20 for one of my son's teachers! Voted up! Take care, Kelley
