How will you celebrate Easter?

What do you get up to during Easter? Do you see your family or eat certain food? Are there any particular traditions?

Im just hoping not to be working... if not, Ill go to church and then make a big dinner for the family. My oldest son always hides the eggs for the little ones who are now probably too old to be hunting them, but its a tradition. smile
      How about you?

That sounds lovely! We are visisting the family and I'm sure there will be plenty of (Cadbury's) chocolate around. Hope that you have a great Easter!

That is the best chocolate on the planet. I'm glad they are only available around Easter; I'd weigh 50 pounds more if I could get that chocolate all year!

We wake up to Resurrection cookies (cookies we bake the night before that are hollow - like Jesus' grave on Easter smile). Then church and lunch with friends. Usually we end up playing goofy games with eggs. I miss not having extended family around but am so grateful for a group of close friends.

If I am not scheduled to work - I will go to regular
church service and prepare a meal at home for
family.  However - if I have to work then maybe
a sunrise service somewhere and order something
    terrific.

I will begin with a sunrise service at my church and then head to a local park to hide eggs with my fire department. Easter is always a busy day for me.

I just read that you are a volunteer firefighter - sounds very exciting. I love organising Easter egg hunts:)
