This question is for millenials who may not have been taught this in school.
Those who know the answer, please hold off.

      Dear jacklee Im
...what Millennials come often to HubPages forums? Anyway, the answer of course, as we all know: We are thankful to God who brought forth the harvest with the help of the aborigines (the people native to the land) who had assisted with the planting, growing and harvesting of all the pilgrims had to eat, that first Fall, after a dreadful period of time of trying to survive in the New Land. ETC.---> There is much more to the story and we should always refresh ourselves by contemplating it and realizing how fortunate we truly are to this very day.

The Mellenials are politically encouraged to celebrate "Friends Day," I believe. Nevertheless, I'm sure their parents taught them the foundation of our culture, if they are American citizens.

      Happy Thanksgiving!!!
