Is the ritual of sending holiday cards obsolete in 2010?
Have you sent out snail mail Christmas cards in 2010?
Probably not, I have received only real Christmas cards from friends and family, and likewise, have sent only real cards to friends and family.
I use electronic cards to send greetings to all those electronic photos and avatars living on websites and forums etc.
So, Merry Christmas to you, or Midwinter Festival, if you don't celebrate Christmas.
I certainly hope not. I like to send, as well as receive, Cards through the post, as it shows some actual physical effort has gone into the 'sending'.
It's also nice hearing the "thud" of snail mail coming through the door that has something positive in it ... rather than the usual junk mail :-)
No way I do not think they ever will be absolete, at least I hope not I love getting cards in the mail! I am like a child!
Well I've finally sent after a 10 year absence. But I reckon every year less people send snail mail cards.
