Do you remember how you felt when you graduated from high school?
Like it was the end of an era? Happy? Sad?
I'm sure it was a fantastic time, but I wasn't there for the ceremony. I was already 4 months into my military service. Therefore, I suppose it was the end of one era overlapping with the beginning of another. I was just glad to be out of there.
No, quite honestly..........I do not.
Looking back, I expect, that I would have felt liberated.
But, I know, vividly, how I felt when my first child did!
Yes. "GET ME OUT OF HERE! I HATE DOING THESE DINNERS, SPEECHES, AND CRAP!" It was upsetting. I was happy to see high-school go since nothing happened in it. Though I was nervous as could be because I wanted something better but had no clue what to do.
I was very happy to graduate. I think graduating college was more sad, because there was the fact that I was completely out of school for the first time in over 15 years.
Yes that's one of the great moments in my life. I'm very happy and excited it was a milestone and it can only happen once in a lifetime.
Interesting comments I don't think it really sunk in for me for a while... High school feels like an age when you're there, and graduation felt like the end, but then you realize that it's really only the beginning! As you can see I was feeling nostalgic

Well, my 10 year class reunion is coming up next month so it made me wonder how long has everyone been out of high school? Would you go back if you could?

This week my son graduates from high school. His has been a difficult road through many non-traditional roadblocks. From a GATE (honors) student in 7th grade he descended into drug use. Got arrested in 8th grade. Entered his first (of 4) rehabs that same year.I've let go of MY expectations for him....

Did you find a job right away or did you take some time off to think what you wanted to do? Did you go straight into grad school? I'm just curious because I'm graduating on Thursday. My ideal goal is to work but finding a job is tough right now. So I am weighing my options and think I should...

Should high schoolers be able to choose core classes based on a choice of future career?Sophomores and upper classmen only though... they already have prep-classes that you can choose, but is that enough. Kids with 4.0's through high school bust their butts on learning useless information (like why...
