We usually all go to church and then have dinner at my oldest daughter's or her in-laws house. A few of us "older" ones have had some health problems this year so we are all staying home in our own houses this year. I will miss the usual gathering and hope we get back to it next year.

Why does the date for Easter change from year to year?Given that the Christian celebration of Easter is a remembrance of the resurrection of Jesus, should not the holiday be on the same date as the supposed original event, that is, three days after the crucifixion?

For the first time in 13 years, my kids are spending Thanksgiving (or any other) day with their Dad all together in Florida. That leaves me all be my lonesome. I've already spoken to folks about working at a local food bank for part of that day, but any other suggestions on how to make it festive?
