What Are Some Polite And Unique Ways To Ask People To Leave?

When you have a party or you have guests and it is time to end the evening what are some polite and unique ways to send them on their way?

I think before I am completely spent and want to scream at everyone to go home, I would start about an hour ahead of time, slowly picking things up and taking them to the kitchen.  And then finally if there are hangers on and they have been there hours, I would say something like, "Gosh this has been so much fun, but guys I am beat...might be time for me to head towards bed.

If that doesn't work you might have to throw out unique and just say, guys you'll have to wrap this up and head out, I am going to bed.

    Good friends will understand--I think.

Its so funny that people don't already know how to depart from a party. But you could try to end your party with a gift bag. You could put candy, condoms, whatever! As you pass them out thank them for coming and shake hands while walking to the door. Or you could end your party by saying theirs an after gathering at denys and get everyone to leave and drive their. Or have 1 and 1/2 of a party, your place and then end it at a night club for the other half of the night. That way you never had to ask anyone to leave. LOL

It can be a bit tricky, especially if alcohol is involved.  I don't know about polite, but I would just may up a story as why they have to go or just be honest and say 'sorry, but I'm exhausted.  Party is over"
If they're good mates they will understand.

"Well, we're gonna go to bed because we are preventing you to leave". I have seen it done once and it worked !
