My mother always filled ours with packs of gum, candy, 10/15 dollar gift cards and items that may be useful for a sport they play or a tv show they follow.

A pack of playing cards, a yoyo, drawing book, coloured pencils. Woolly gloves or a bobble hat. Bubble blowing liquid. And chocolate money, of course. I used to love getting silly bits and bobs.

You can also take a few one dollar bills and fold them in origami type shapes - and it will be a lot of fun to find those among the stocking goodies.
