Are we in the twenty-teens now?
What should the decade from 2010-2019 be called? For that matter, how should we refer to 2000-2009?
It is taking awhile to get used to the 21st century. Nineteen Sixty-two, Nineteen sixties, etc. sounded OK. Twenty tens, Twenty two, (twenty o two) never sound quite right. I think when we finally get to the twenty thirties it may sound ok again (if I live that long).
I agree, but we're going to have to have some way to refer to these first two decades. Now, if I want to write a hub about say, the music of the first decade of the 21st century, I don't know what to call it.
That's a good question.
It is now 2013 so should be in the Twenty-13 century. Doesn't sound nice in a way but it is that. Unless someone can come up with a nice twenty ....something or it remains to be twenty-13.
No, we are in the twenty-tweens! (And this will redline if I don't make it longer.)

In this 21st century have the privileged got too greedy? If as humans all we need is food&water, shelter, love, work and belief shouldn't we be cutting down on our material luxuries? Is corporate greed to blame for the current recession and financial anxiety? Are tax havens for the rich...
