How do you like to spend New Years Eve?
Do you celebrate elaborately with champagne and fireworks? Or just have a dinner, etc.?
New years eve is our wedding anniversary. We used to celebrate with a lot of fanfare and champagne. In more recent years we enjoy a steak on the grill and a quiet night together. We don't like to get out on the roads with all the partiers and drinkers.
New Years around here is a big deal, but we tend to change it up each year. We have 3 children, so we always make sure there's something for them to take part in whether it's watching fireworks or buying our own.
Tonight we decided to stay at home and invite our friends and family over. We live in the country so we decided to bundle up and start a bonfire in the fire pit. The kids got to drink hot chocolate and roast marshmallows. The adults got to sip their beverage of choice. Once everyone was chilled beyond being able to stand it, we took the party indoors so we could all play on the X-Box Kinect. It was a great time.
Happy New Year to you and yours!
