Our Fathers Day in NZ is later in the year (Sept I think), but I plan to celebrate it as usual.

Depending on whether we have gone away for the weekend or not - My father gets a visit (if not gone away), or a phonecall and my step-father gets a visit (if gone away - usually to their place!) or a phonecall if we are at home.

Visiting with the grandchild is the highlight usually!.

I planed to mow the lawn in the back garden but all these lovely cards and visits from children and grandchildren have persuaded me that its time to kick off the slippers and put my feet up and listen to some tunes.

Done the washing up, cooked the lunch, kept everyone entertained and happy and the wife's asking me why I haven't cut the grass...........Fathers day? Just another day really........

I convinced my husband to take a nap today. So he is relaxing for a little while. This afternoon we will get the family out in the yard, grill out, and enjoy our time together. Not really any different than every other weekend.
