    Who's celebrating le quatorze juillet?

I need to head to the grocery store after work and get something to make for din-din.  Earlier in the week I was thinking I'd make some savory crepes for my partner and myself, but I'm realizing today it's too hot to stand over the stove for that long.  I'd love other ideas.

How do you celebrate Bastille Day?

I'm going to pick up some French Fries from the local McDonalds and launch a raid on the local police station. Vive la liberté!

Eat some snails and surrender to Germany.

Had lunch and accepted that everything - and I do mean everything - is shut now.

I can't say I celebrate it.  (Irish and Scottish descent and living in an area not particularly populated by a large French presence).  But...    Happy Bastille Day to those who celebrate it.

I remember when I lived in france, we spent the evening just sitting at a cafe on Champs- Elysee, eating a baguette or something... and then walking...endlessly walking.... in a sea of people for the fireworks under Eiffel Tower... smile

p.s. forget cooking dinner, just go out and have a nice time!
