Fireman Halloween Costumes for Children

Fireman costumes are a great choice for Halloween, and while they work good for adults, they are adorable on children, as they love to put on their hats and be like one of their heroes.

That's one of the major necessities of a fireman costume - you must have a hat. A fireman without a hat, for a child, is like Superman without his cape. It just doesn't work.

The one exception, as you'll see below, is with a toddler, which in most cases hasn't developed the appreciation for a fireman's hat yet. But they look cute in anything, so with or without a hat, the fireman's costume is a winner.

Yet, many of them, if you put a fireman hat on them, will definitely want to keep it on unless you live in a very hot and humid climate where it may make them uncomfortable.

I've put together a few photos of children wearing fireman outfits in order to let you, and maybe the children see, if that's what they would like to wear this Halloween.

Another application is it could also be a costume they could wear if they are taken to a visit to the local fire station.

In this first photo I wanted to show what a fireman's costume would look like without a hat, and also to give an idea of what yellow tape would look like if you were to put it over an existing coat or shirt to recreate the fireman's outfit.

This little guy in the fireman costume is why it is a great choice for Halloween. It also shows you can use a different color of tape and it will still look good; in this case the lime green color which takes nothing away from being identified as a fireman.

What really makes this work those is that awesome fireman's hat worn by the little boy.

Here's another different fireman firemen Halloween costume look you could decide on. The color red will always work for your little firefighter, and the shiny fabric of the costume gives it a nice look, as if he's in the middle of the action.

As children get a little older, adding an accessory such as the hatchet below is a very nice touch. What child wouldn't want the cool fireman hat and outfit, while carrying around the hatchet. Very cool!

While I'm not sure a child would want to carry around a fire extinguisher while he's going after his candy hoard on Halloween, it would definitely be a cool accessory and prop when he's at home showing off his goodies and his costume in order to get some pictures taken for posterity. It could also be part of some make believe playing with some friends once the festivities are over.

As you can see from these photos, using a fireman costume theme on Halloween is a great way to have fun for you and your children or grandchildren. Costumes like these make great photos and memories of those magical and exciting years we like to revisit from time to time.

Children love dressing up as firemen, and the cool costumes, props and accessories make it a certainty that this will continue on for a long time into the future.
