Be Mindful of the Voices -Poem

Updated on June 4, 2013
Be Mindful of the voices
Be Mindful of the voices
Most will whisper lies
Most will whisper lies
Watch what you say
Watch what you say

Be mindful of the voices that you listen to

Most will whisper lies

Truth from very few

Don’t jump too quickly at the words they speak

Though crafted very carefully

Their promises are quite weak

Take time to look around you,Watch what they say and do

Their words may sound like angel songs

Their actions tell what’s true

Taking things slowly is not foolish, but wise

You will always find the truth

When you look into their eyes

Be Mindful of the voices as they tell you what to do

Seek wisdom from a wise man

Then do what’s best for you

I came across a wise man at a very early time in my life. He was very wise and if not for him I would have definitely gone astray. He was my best friend, mentor and the father I never had. I talk about him in one of my hubs, The boy from the bottom of the hill.

May he be resting in peace and in the big library in the sky. I enjoyed this poem it struck a cord with me. peace and hugs.
