Review

Maya Hansen, Josh's (now ex) girlfriend, turned out to be a scientist for Advanced Idea Mechanics, A.I.M, and the creator of the drug used to bring Eileen back from the dead, Extremis. She kidnapped E.G.G with a sinister plot to use Eileen's blood to create Extremis 3.0. Battling for their lives, Josh and Acacia worked together to escape the evil corporation, and with the help of James, Agent Rice, Anti-Venom, Squirrel Girl, and the full forces of S.H.I.E.L.D, they took down deadly foes, such as Savin, M.O.D.O.K, Extremis pumped goons, and the A.I.M Scientist Supreme Alby Moreno and his E.G.G Crusher. In the end, Maya sacrificed herself, realizing what she had done was wrong. Eileen revealed her identity as Lightstream to James, and Josh stepped down as acting Director of E.G.G, leaving Eileen in charge.

Maya Hansen

So, A+ to anyone who guessed who Maya was from day one, but yeah, she was heavily featured in the Iron Man Extremis story line, and had a role in Iron Man 3. I made he an agent of A.I.M, so I kind of blended the two mediums, but what isn't blended in E.G.G! I thought that her realizing she was doing the wrong thing and sacrificing herself to save Josh was a fitting end. Not only did it sort of redeem her character, but it showed that even though she deceived him, she still had some feelings for Josh. Josh started the Maya Hansen Foundation in her honor, which may come in play later, so keep your eyes on it!

Alby Moreno and the Egg Crusher

A.I.M always has a Scientist Supreme, the leader of A.I.M, the guy who calls the shots. In this case, it was Alby Moreno. He's not from the comics, so you can exit out of Wikipedia now. He's an original character, and he prepared for his confrontation with E.G.G: The Egg Crusher. Yes, a giant robot designed for the sole purpose of destroying E.G.G, able to negate all of their tech and powers. Unfortunately, it has a vulnerability to nuts. Hey, Squirrel Girl's taken Dr. Doom down before! Anyways, I thought that since A.I.M is basically an evil version of E.G.G, then they'd most certainly have a machine with the capability of destroying them. Imagine if the Masters of Doom got hold of this!

Eileen and James

James looked up.

“Wait, wait a minute…” He said, attempting to stand. “I’m still here!”

“Detonation in 3, 2, 1.”

“No, NO!” James shouted, closing his eyes. And just as the Egg Crusher exploded, Lightstream swooped by, grabbed James, and flew high into the sky. She landed on the roof of one of the many labs on the facility.

“Wow,” James said. “That’s three times now.”

“Who’s counting?” Lightstream replied.

“Well, thank you again.” He said. Lightstream put her hands on her hips.

“Can I get a proper thank you this time?” She asked. James sighed.

“I told you, you’re cool and all, but there someone else.”

“Eileen Wuthrich? Is that her name?”

“Yeah, her. I’m sorry.”

“James Collins, you have to be the cutest idiot on the face of the Earth.”

“Wait, what?” Lightstream untied the bandana and dropped it to the ground.

“It’s me James.” Eileen said. “I’m Lightstream.” James’s jaw dropped.

“I… uh… but… you… how… and then… what? I couldn’t have… you never… and then the…” He was at a loss for words. Eileen laughed.

“James.” She said.

“Yes…” He answered.

“Just shut up and kiss me please.”

“Right, okay, sorry.” He took Eileen into his arms, and the two lovebirds kissed. Eileen lifted her leg into the air, and James stroked her cheek, as they kissed among the setting sun.

What a scene! Jeileen's rejoice, it's finally happening! Now James knows Eileen's biggest secret, and they're officially a couple! That means that Josh is the only one out of the loop on the Lightstream secret, kinda sad. But finally, James and Eileen took the next step! Let's hope this one works out!

Josh steps down!

“Listen guys, before I started E.G.G, I was just a S.H.I.E.L.D agent, and a bad one at that. I had no clue what it meant to lead an entire organization, and judging by the events of the past few hours, I still don’t. I had a lot of time to think about this, and it’s why I’ve decided, that effective immediately I am stepping down as Director of E.G.G.”

“What!” Eileen shouted.

“Josh!” Acacia added.

“It’s final. I don’t want to lead this organization another minute until I’m positive I’m ready. If one day I feel I’d make an adequate leader, I’ll try for Director again, but until then, the burden goes to one of two. You guys are same rank, so you can decide among yourselves who sits in the big chair.” Josh smiled. “I may get that super powered catfight after all.”

“Josh,” Eileen said. “This is a big decision.”

“I just want to step back for bit.” Josh said. “See how someone else drives the bus, and maybe learn a few things as I go. My decision if final. The only question now is which one of you will take my place.” Eileen and Acacia looked at each other.

“Look Acacia,” Eileen said. “If you really want to be…”

“Oh shell no!” Acacia interrupted. “Waaaaay too much responsibility. It’s all yours.”

“So it’s settled then.” Josh said. He stood and put his hand on Eileen’s shoulder. “Congratulations Eileen Wuthrich, you are the new acting Director of E.G.G.” A big wide smile slowly spread across Eileen’s face. She suddenly realized the gravitas of what had just happened. She was filled with excitement and eager joy. She giggled a little bit, tried to speak, but could only manage to utter one small word:

“Wow.”

* * *

Be honest, who saw that coming? No one! Not one of you! Don't even try to say you did because you didn't! Now Josh is no longer Director, Eileen is! I told you E.G.G would never be the same! So everyone welcome Eileen to the Director's chair! Let's hope she survives the experience!
