Heartness

Updated on November 1, 2011

Heartness my favorite word.

It cannot be defaced by any other meaning,

Its intent is focused and infinite.

Unlike Love who's integrity is lost when

You love me, then love your car, or the food in your mouth.

Your message is weakened by sensory desire,

And confused by temporary satisfaction.

What do you think love is?

What has it become?

From the breath of great angels

Flows Heartness in volume.

Untainted by the morose

Never hardened by separateness.

And igniting reflection

Of our divine exquisite beauty.

At the core of each one of us

The nectar that sates our longing

As a fuel for reunion

With our precious Selves

Is the state of Heartness.

Enjoyed reading your poem "Heartness." These words touched me; beautiful touch you added with the the feathers at the end of the poem.

You had my mind going around in circles, but I didn't check the word till I had read you poem (but I have now).

Oh Wow! What a lovely way to start a morning.

This is one of the most refreshing hubs I have read.

I want to sit at your feet and listen to more like that.

Awesome and voted up, my friend.

This is unique: It is the theme of something that I wrote, but now, I would not hold it up to yours, as yours says it all.

I will strive to avoid using the word "love" for anything but love. Love is too rare and fleeting. True, true love is...so rare.

I agree - true true love is very rare and it's a treasure when found.
