Here grows 'Chicory'

Blue as the sky;

Each bloom so bright

Almost a little shy.

x

Here lies the 'Fumitory'

'Smoke Of The Earth';

Initially a foreigner

From France its birth.

x

The bright yellow 'Tansy'

A golden gem;

Blooms like buttons

So strong its stem.

x

This fine 'Willow Herb'

'Fireweed' another term;

It is seen to grow

Where fires did burn.

x

'Jack By The Hedge'

Or 'Garlic Mustard';

Four petals of white

Sweet scent rising upward.

Zany little number

'Bee Orchid' so bright;

Its feel of velvet

Such a sweet sight.

x

The winding 'Bindweed'

In purest white;

Twisting and clinging

A wondrous sight.

x

One handsome 'Thistle''

Its peep almost shy;

Some say ugly

A stance almost a cry.

x

A loom of the Autumn

Has the 'Ribwort Plantain';

Its seed the spikes

Down a country lane.

x

The 'Shepherd's Clock'

Or the 'Goat's Beard';

To tell the time

No ticking heard.

Shy almost blushing

The beautiful 'Foxglove';

Scents attracting bees

Under the blue sky above.

x

Here is a 'Gorse Bush'

With a scent of spring;

Dotted around the country

Sweet memories doth bring.

x

The 'Colt's Foot' stands

Tall and straight;

A sight so greeting

By the garden gate.

x

Sweet 'Willow Catkin'

Silky and grey;

Also 'Pussy Willow'

Memories to stay.

x

So dainty so true

Stands the 'Lady's Smock';

Simply white and mauve

The colour of her frock.

x

As fragile as 'Cowslip'

Her dainty head to bow;

She dances to the tune

Her beauty to flow.

x

Like a cover of snow

Aura virginal white;

The blooms of the 'Hawthorn'

Such a wondrous sight.

Haiku :Treasures and Gems.

In treasures restful

All precious jewels sparkle

Flowing to my heart.

x

Each gem so precious

Bright daydreams exquisite

Embracing nature.

x

Calling way up high

I now share from deep within

While baring my soul.

x

Tender sweet bird songs

I greet with sincerity

Sharing memories.

x

In sweet contentment

My heart and soul stripped naked

Sharing nature's songs.

x

Each one its own place

Sweet gems to embrace to share

Life's truths crystal clear.

Rhymes: Life's Gems..

Standing so tall

These wayside flowers

Tender and precious

So wondrous their powers.

Down country lanes

Or filling the fields

So wondrous their charms

So magical their yields.

Some call them weeds

Common and shabby

Whereas I see life's gems

Such graceful beauty.

Whether to spread

Climb or entwine

Each one to fill

This heart of mine.

Next time you walk

Look down so keenly

These gems you will see

Bright magical beauty.

Teach your children

The names of them all

Each one to stand

So proud and so tall.

Rictameter: Jewels.

Jewels

Shining brightly

Each presence so unique

Their magical wonders soar high

Carried by the birds to great heights unknown

Deep knowledge of wonders enchant

Seashores to country lanes

Brightly shining

Jewels.

Source

Acrostic: Weeds

Where beauty lies deep

Everlasting impacts of wonder

Eternal beauty flows deep into my inner being

Daring to look in a different light

Simple auras enchant and unfold.

Source

Freeverse: Take My Hand.

Take my hand

come follow me

into a world so new.

Cast away false aspirations

and trust

in each brand new dawn's

infantile prowess.

From your being

a brand new birth

allow your eyes to see

allow your ears to hear

allow your inner being to recognise

these jewels of life

although dainty

not so fragile.

Bravely thriving

through life's dry craggy ground

their beauty like no other to enfold;

the gems from deep within each being

will lead you to the hearts

of these magical

enchanting

jewels

of

life.

I hope you enjoyed the second hub in this series and part three will be along very soon.

Here's wishing you all a wonderful weekend and lots of love from my little corner of Wales.
