A Skiers Heavenly Flight; facing the ups and downs of a holy mountain experience and a physical relationship with the creator of all things
MOUNTAIN BRIDE
Breathe fragrant crisp of new fallen snow
Quickening the heart of a downhill slalom.
Scrunching footsteps of fresh powder
Delights the ears so anticipating the slope.
Bundled bibs fastened, gloves warmly worn
Equip for challenges of expert terrain.
Skis fully waxed and edges clean-shaven led
To kiss the face of the holy mountain groom.
Trail dancing atop the tall mountain trails,
Ascending and descending as a cherub
Gliding adrift on the wings of winds.
In covenant slalom, they become one.
Cleansed, washed white as consecrate snow
Though once a child repeatedly fallen,
Redeemed and sanctified through grace
Before the throne on the holy mountain.
Splendid heights of heavenly lofting
Liberate the soul from bondage ‘neath.
Freedom prevails, all striving cease,
Embracing eternal covenant peace.
