My Black Cat

Updated on July 16, 2014

This is just a nonsense poem about my cat which as you might be able to tell from the title,is black. As i say just a bit of nonsense to go with the few seconds of video of her.

My Black Cat

My black cat

Likes to sit on the mat

In fact it likes to sit anywhere.

Sometimes she stares at me until i move

Then goes and sits on my chair.

She's been with us for a number of years

So she's getting a bit older.

She speaks more than she done at first.

She's definitely a good bit bolder.

Although she is a quiet cat

And doesn't always go out

She'll still give out orders

And boss some folk about.

She'll let you know if she's hungry

And wants her food right away

If she didn't like it too much

She'll still have a lot to say.

After eating and drinking

She likes to sleep and be left alone

So she goes to a quiet spot

And curls up asleep on her throne.

My cat rules the roost. when she wants me she meows loudly, sits in front of me and rubs against my face. She also likes to get me out of my chair so that she can promptly sit where I was sitting.

Nail biting agony for us Wolves fans. Rangers and Celtic went down to the wire too. It's a real pity that they couldn't both play in the premier league as it would really add some colour and spice. Yes, spice, not spite. Oh well maybe one day.

You're right Michael, it is a nonsense poem, but sometimes nonsense is needed in this hustle bustle world. Cats rule, that's just the way it is and perhaps why we have five dogs. We used to have cats though and they all have different personalities. Oh well must dash, see you mate and go the Wolves, of the footballing variety, it was a very close call indeed for a lifelong fan.

It's Cute, Michael, It's Cute...Cat's are in their own "little world" and when they let you feel privileged! Fun reading.

I know just what you mean, Michael ... you've just got to accept that you are staff.

      Fun poem ...

It's amazing how calm and in control of everything cats seem. My last cat was a stray (black - male) and he was the best! I enjoyed this - brought back memories... ;)
