My Heart Has a Hole - Poem
My heart has a hole
Where you used to be,
Before you declared
Your need to be free
Nothing or no one
Can take your place,
Though you may see me
With another face
A cold wind blows
Through this hole in my heart,
Its ice cuts through
And tears it apart
There is nothing to give
Nothing more at all,
For I've built a barrier
A strong and sturdy wall
Protection from hurt and pain
It keeps my heart tucked away,
For I’ve taken a vow upon my heart
That it will never happen again.
Healing a Broken Heart
There is hope and help for the broken hearted. It may feel like an impossibility, it may seem like the pain and sorrow will never end, but there is a way through a broken heart; there is life on the other side of the suffering. You can have a bright and fulfilling future ahead of you, once you put your past behind you and move on.
