Our First Kiss -- Never Ever Forgotten

Updated on August 30, 2012

What a memory of yesteryear. Cannot forget it of course. All was set accordingly with hope: a rose hidden in our jacket and lots of perfume on the shoulders and neck. Who would've resist it? The time was around 6:45 p.m. and the sun was almost caressing the ocean in front of us. Who could've resisted to all that preamble to blissfulness?

This Melody goes with our inspiration... Thanks!

Couldn't resist it anymore...

Walking along through the steps of life

This is the place where I came to posses my prize

Sunset and breezy air to witness our wildest dreams become true

Jeans, t-shirts and the best of our moods

Blissful day of that month of yesterday

Summer that was settling and coming after May

Walking through a boardwalk that would sustain our hopes

Seeing that sunset that would witness a gift from up above

Holding hands and committing to ourselves

Hearts and emotions that cannot be held

Feeling on top of the world, what can I say

holding each other knowing we reached the end of that chapel

I'm face to face caressing your tender life at sixteen

Suddenly you put my hand against your chest

"Feel my heart and you will realize, it feels like paradise"

Then I get closer to her and instinctively slowly close our eyes

Tenderly I reached for that precious forehead

"This kiss is from my mom," I said

Slowly went down to her left cheek... (sighs...)

"This kiss is from sister Mary"-- a Kodak moment, click!

Blissful breathing of ours

finally aiming at your lips full of desire

matching emotions that were expected since birth

The first kiss, the first time we feel on top of this earth

You let that tenderness ran wild like a horse

first time you french kissed me with no remorse

embracing my whole life around

I dropped my jacket and forgot about that rose

"Why did you kiss me like that," She said

"You have awaken the woman in me Joseph"

"It just happened sweet Ann Marie"

"I dropped that poor rose that was for you, can't you see?"

That was our first kiss that we never forgot

Sure we wanted to feel more than just love

She did move on and broke my heart indeed

but deep inside I kept those moments within me

Funny how it feels like it was yesterday

The rose ended up in her hands on that day of may

Still surprised how she responded to my kiss

I guess is human nature!

It was the most wonderful bliss!

That will never go away, even if I get older

this is a memory I will always miss...

We have more for you.... while you comment...

Was your first kiss...?

P.S. - I found some of your older gems before I joined HP in April, and my favorite of all time favorites is the Valentine's poem - and I commented of course on those past gems. Just FYI in case they don't pop up anywhere on your radar. Have a lovely night. In His Love, Faith Reaper

Lord De Cross...great poem on your memory of your 1st chose just the right words to paint the picture..enjoyed the poem...mine was more like a poem of the darkside..of which words would not due it justice..something like" we closed our eyes and did not speak,as we moved our faces cheek to cheek, but upon the contact..our braces locked, my lip did bleed as did much for that memory of our first kiss" true story...but what a memory...thanks for the trip down memory lane..

I admit I had to laugh at the mother kiss, a little unexpected and of course I didn't believe it, but the finale as expected. I wonder how anyone can forget a first kiss. Beautifully said in your own style.

Way too many episodes of not inhaling to remember the first. I seem to recall, but it could be a flashback I've been expecting for decades. I actually think the first was more of an obligation of two dating, while later down the line, several are very memorable. (I think.) Great poem, very visual! Up & Awesome & Beautiful

A man snatches the first kiss, pleads for the second, demands the third, takes the fourth, accepts the fifth - and endures all the rest. ~Helen Rowland LOL... Beautiful poem!
