Purpose of Life Today, And Not Tomorrow...!

Updated on June 7, 2012

Enjoy our favorite melody -- by DJMichael Ortega

Reading a Comment from one of our friends to our oldie inspiration, "If I could start all over again," made us think about our own life and where we were heading to at this right second. Just to warn our 1:09:00 a.m. Eastern Standard Time and we feel reloaded and inspired. Sometimes we feel the need to write around this time, and we don't even know the final outcome: Thanks Victoria Lynn for giving us the lead... on this piece.

Purpose of Life Today and not Tomorrow...

Living the joys of today

and not the sorrows of tomorrow

dealing with the pains of yesterday

and not the 'easy life' for the day after tomorrow

Seems that life has entangled our future already

making us feel secure, hopefully forever

messing up ourselves from time to time

Life evolving and striking up night after night

Death caressing our chin and mind

reminding us that tomorrow might come

announcing that our cycle is almost done

but that spark of light has kept him away... until due time

Funny to know that we don't fear tomorrow's tales

stronger and fearless as we grow old

we lived this very second to write this well

Our choices were casted so long ago...

Family that already left this valley of tears

wanted the best from uncertain fears

We know they are up there begging for better days

but meanwhile we have transpired emotions with no end

Living this very infinitesimal defragmented nanosecond of time

slow motion of vivid images left behind

smiling and concocting true words of a kind

transpiring through pondering thoughts that crossed our mind

What we did today and tonight... was meant to be

What we lived right now won't happen again as it did

If we missed to say goodbye to a loved one

life will remind us tomorrow, that it was the last one

Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter and Mother's day

They came so fast that we need to catch up all over again

Next time around, life will make those 'moves' for us

Reminding us that we have not matured in vain

Living every minute of this past year plus yesterday...

was the best lesson of lives that were there.

Moving in the right direction tonight... and not yet tomorrow

Will remind us that after all, we have chosen love over sorrow

Greece, Mary Kennedy and Zetas from Matamoros

Life can be so short to keep up with the world of tomorrow

Just keeping our convictions and beliefs

transforming feelings through piano strings

Living today, this very second, what tomorrow won't bring...!

Happy to know that we can share some feelings

getting to know our senses this very minute

not waiting until tomorrow to show the meaning of life

reminding ourselves that this very second we can show

a better reason to be alive...!

    Good evening Faith Reaper,

The words were written at that moment, like carved in a minute in our retina and finally getting dictated to us. Sometimes there is no explanation for the words...they just flow onto the bits of memory of this page. Thanks for stopping by!

Oh, lord, this is just stunningly beautiful, the words, the imagery. This is my favorite piece. Living in today, how poignant. He tells us in His Word to not worry about tomorrow and that the past is past. The week I was away, was a week of the most inspiring writing ever, I am seeing now. This really touched my heart, lord. Voted Up, awesome, beautiful and interesting. In His Love Always, Faith Reaper

If you take a picture and it comes out wrong, you try to shoot another one again. No matter how many more pictures you take, you will never capture the first moment, regardless of time, mood, and situation. We get older by the second, therefore we should live our life to the fullest... at that minute. We understand your point, and we all make plans for the future, but is the minute when we take that deep breath, when we really think about the beauty of life and creation. Thanks for reading us my friend!

Hi friends, Thanks for stopping by and taking your time and reading our poem!

@Anupma, You said it so well, and the message was delivered as we wanted it to.

@Rasma, there is a breed of writers in here, that are really connected, and you are a palpable proof. You caught the essence of the message as well. God bless as well!

@Ivona Poyntz, Glad we made your day. The music and the words, come in blocks of waves of inspiration. We just go with the flow and the result is delivered. Thanks for your support and kind words!

@Curiad, There is time and more time around this parallel universe that we don't even see. There is so much that we can hardly comprehend, and we leave it to the maker to explain our inquisitive minds.

@Thanks Billybuc! Our points came from somewhere, whether our minds, or our rational inspiration. There is not much to add but to look back in awe, when we finish an article. Thanks William!

@ Xstatic, we all experience life as we grow. We fall and come back. We test life, and then make it happen. Matureness is not reached for free and at an earlier age. Thanks for the follow!

@Marcoujour, This poem comes handed out by our muses. They should get the accolades. And you Maria, you are such a sweet friend! Your emotions are being felt everytime we read you.

@Vicky Lynn, you are in fault for giving us a late inspiration... but we guess it came at the right time. Your words... so sincere and diaphanous make us think of a heart... one of the biggest one in Nebraska besides Gizmo of course!

@Mary615, You are certainly right! Jim Croce's time in a bottle was a favorite! There seems to be enough time to do frivolous things, except love for real. There is so much that we can do in a minute than an hour of hatred. Thanks friend!

@ Homesteadbound Cindy, You did say it so right! You capture the esssence of the message. Amazing how we wrote this piece with no blueprint, excpet a heart.

@Pamela99, there is so much true in your words. You did understand the meaning thoroughly! Your comments are always so rich. Thanks for the kudos!

The haunting music went long beautifully with your poetry. I agree with the points you made and living well today is the best way to find joy, as we can't change yesterday and tomorrow has not come. Up and awesome.

It is truly better to live in the present - so much better than living in hopes of what will happen tomorrow or in regret of what happened yesterday.

You give a strong message here, Lord. We should all think about those things you mention. I love Jim Croce's Time In a Bottle. Time is a strange thing, isn't it. Beautiful piece, here. I voted it UP, etc.etc.

"What we did today and tonight... was meant to be

What we lived right now won't happen again as it did"

Lord, you made me tearful! So sweet. I'm glad my comments on your poem last night inspired you. Those two lines above--I think that's what I was trying to say...that we will always look back at the "now" moments wishing we had embraced them more. And we probably are embracing them all we can. I don't know if I'm expressing that as well as I'd like, but your poem sure did! I also love the line "transforming feelings through piano strings."

How did you know that I love sad, haunting piano music? You picked the most perfect music. I listened to it as I read and now type these comments, but I have to scroll back up now and then to see the beautiful images that accompany it.

We never know when a comment we make to others will inspire. I'm glad mine inspired this, because now you are in turn inspiring me. Thanks, my dear lord. I love this.

    LORD, Dear,

This is honestly one of THE most moving videos/ songs to accompany your most expressively inspirational words.

I am profoundly moved by this message. As many times as I have teased you, this is my favorite piece you have ever written.

Voted UP and Awesome and Beautiful. Hugs, Maria

Voted up and awesome. We will never be able to catch up with time but we can make time work for us. Enjoy every moment we have to the fullest and not let fear get in the way. Plus a good deal of faith can go a long way. God bless.

Very true, I agree with you. It is better to live in present then to spoil time in thinking and planning about the future.

In my opinion if present is good then automatically future will be better. So we must concentrate on present instead of future.
