Rant At Me!: A Poem

Updated on July 16, 2014

What do you do when you need to rant?

Do you call up a close friend? Text them? Do you write about it and post it on Facebook or tumblr? Or do you express yourself in your creativities, like your artwork or poetry?

I do the latter. (Ta!) Enjoy. =)

I'm at the END. Of. My. Rope!

Rant at Me!

I want to rant and rage
to feel the heat on my skin, leave
as I blow some smoke
and tip my cup of hope
into the blue.

I can't help but cry and shake
and grab hold of myself in this quake
of feelings as I stab my own heart
in disappointed, hard strokes.

I need to spout off a fountain
and make my quicksand mind
swallow the doubt and guilt.

Maybe between
tears and shakes,
the quicksand quakes,
and my mindless doubt,
I'll empty my soul--
my whole being--
of feeling

and sit on a stage,
a puppet with wage
and an easy grin,
to do the bidding
of the ones who
made it here before me.

Onward cycle.

      Hi Meispunk:

I am the puppet master on a ranting errant

We make a team on stage

Both ranting and raveing and bellowing

      What majestic soul fellows

Your heart is true and solid

      No stab wounds I detect

The quicksand quake did the ground but solid make

For you to show us your talent

A quality you make so very gallant

The smoke you blow I ponder

Is it a variety I know

Where minds unit and surf our sky

      For moments of ultimate delight

Which you have given to this kindred soul

      In this merger warlock heaven

....I feel much better too as I ranted and raved along with you here.

Poe-it-tree, as I like to call it , means many different things to different writers and readers.

I always say just be yourself and write from the heart and the mind will always follow and that's what you did here and you succeeded.

Sending you warm sincere wishes and good thoughts from lake erie time ontario canada 4:39pm
