Rejoicingly Receiving Without Resistance- Journal Challenge, Day 15
Today I took the opportunity to receive and I felt marvelous. There was no hesitation or resistance to the gift being offered, only an overflowing feeling of joy and gratitude to God for favor, love and support. You see, yesterday I felt sad and want because I didn’t have the money to keep my hair appointment for today or purchase the items that I wanted yesterday. But God … God is so amazing. This morning, I texted my new Hair Care Specialist and church sister, Gwen Costantini, that I miscalculated my available funds and would not be coming. She replied, “Come anyway.” I texted, “What time?”
I arrived to the salon at 10:45 a.m. open and receptive to any and all good God had for me to experience. Sister Gwen simply stated that I had an appointment to keep and not to worry about anything else. For her, hair care is a ministry that she engages in with passion and purpose. I could feel the prayers in my spirit as she worked in my hair with her gentle touch. We shared in conversation and got to know each other better. It was a healing experience for my heart, soul and head (inside and out).
The atmosphere was set with gospel music playing from the stylist station across from me and my spirit danced as my hair was tenderly being cared for. Every aspect of my experience was done in excellence and I felt God’s love through the purposeful service being provided. It was divine. Sister Hair Care Specialist Gwen Costantini provides care for the hair and heart of her satisfied customers.
Today I took the opportunity to receive and I felt absolutely marvelous! This is the day that the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it!
